'Amor de Mãe' actor Filipe Duarte dies aged 46

Filipe Duarte was a Portuguese actor.

He died at the age of 46, this Friday, the 17th, he was the victim of a cardiac arrest. He was part of the cast of the soap opera Mother's love (which opened in September 2019), on Rede Globo, he played the character Gabo, who had a relationship with Thelma (played by Adriana Esteves).

How did this news happen? According to the G1 portal, information about the death was released by the Portuguese channel SIC, which shows the serial in the European country.

Duarte was born in Angola and naturalized Portuguese, he graduated from the Higher School of Theater and Cinema of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. There, he had a career in soap operas and cinema, where he won the Golden Globe Portugal for the film The Invisible Life, in 2015.

In Amor de Mãe, the actor played Gabo in a spectacular way, who, in a certain event, made plans with Thelma to move to Portugal – plans were frustrated when Thelma's daughter-in-law, Camila (Jéssica Ellen), suffered a miscarriage.

But who does Duarte leave behind? His wife, Spanish actress Nuria Mencía, and an 8-year-old daughter.
